Meet the Team
Nial
Principal
Nial is a fellow member of Accounting Technicians Ireland and a qualified Chartered Accountant. On route to his professional qualification, he was placed 5th overall in Ireland in his technician exams.
Nial, having successfully completed his training with W S Watson and Co, became principal of the long-established practice in 2012 and continues to maintain and develop a diverse portfolio of clients.
Nial takes a keen interest in helping his clients succeed and is a great advocate for the personal touch and building sound relationships for the future. He takes a pragmatic approach to business decisions and has successfully advised on numerous business acquisitions and sourced funding opportunities for potential purchasers.
Nial believes in adding value to client engagements at all times, whether it be by introducing cloud accounting packages or long-term tax planning and inheritance tax advice.
Outside of work, Nial enjoys helping out on the family farm and is involved in a number of voluntary organisations as well.
Kerry
Practice Manager

Kerry joined Watson & Colhoun as Practice Manager in 2023 and has a wealth of experience in an office environment.
Kerry has a BA (Hons) Degree in Management & Business Studies and oversees the smooth running of the office. She is the first point of contact for clients and deals with all administrative duties of the office.
Rachel

Rachel joined Watson and Colhoun in 2014 after completion of her first year Accounting Technician exams.
After successful admission to Accounting Technicians Ireland, Rachel went on to complete her Chartered examinations and was admitted as a member in 2019.
She has recently enrolled as a student with the Chartered Institute of Taxation and is currently working towards passing her tax exams.
Rachel is primarily involved in accounts preparation, taxation work, ROI and UK Payroll, corporation tax, liaising with clients directly and overseeing junior members of staff.
Roisin
Personal Assistant

Roisin joined the team at Watson and Colhoun in July 2022 as a Personal Assistant to Nial. She is also the clients first point of contact and is responsible for all reception and administrative duties within the firm.
Roisin has over 15 years’ experience in various administrative roles and returned home to Ireland in 2020 after 10 years as a PA to a partner in a Manhattan law firm.
On a personal note, Roisin loves spending quality time with her family and friends and enjoys going to the gym and running.
Kathryn
Senior Chartered Accountant

Kathryn joined Watson and Colhoun in October 2019 having successfully completed her HLA Diploma with Accounting Technicians Ireland through South West College, and then progressed to complete her professional exams with Chartered Accountants Ireland with intentions to become a member later this year.
She is mainly involved in accounts and tax preparation for sole traders, partnerships and companies, and bookkeeping within the office. Kathryn was tasked with the digitalization of the office and has the role of being the primary contact for Sage and the other software providers we use within the office. She also provides in-house training and technical support to our clients.
Outside of work, she is actively involved in Derg Valley Young Farmers Club, enjoys helping out on the family farm and spending time with her family and friends.
Matthew
Chartered Accountant

Matthew joined Watson and Colhoun Accountants in 2015 after having successfully completed a BSc Honours degree from Ulster University in Business Studies with Accounting.
Upon successful completion of the Accounting Technicians Ireland qualification, he then successfully completed his exams with Chartered Accountants Ireland and became a member in 2021.
His main role is accounts preparation and tax for sole traders, partnerships and companies. He is also experienced in PAYE and VAT.
Outside of work Matthew enjoys watching Formula 1 and football and is a supporter of Manchester United.
Ryan
Trainee Chartered Accountant

Ryan joined Watson & Colhoun in June 2019, during this time he has qualified as an Accounts Technician and is currently undertaking his professional examinations with Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Ryan attended Harper Adams University prior to joining the practice and holds a BSc Honours Degree in Agriculture; he has developed a keen interest in all things agriculture and particularly enjoys the preparation of accounts and tax computations for the agri-sector.
His role includes accounts and taxation preparation for sole traders, partnerships and companies, completion of projections and cash-flows for business start-ups, management accounts and assistance with the completion of R&D claims.
Outside of work Ryan helps out on his family farm and likes to keep active by playing football and going to the gym. He is also an avid Arsenal Supporter.
Zoë
Trainee Chartered Accountant

Zoë joined Watson and Colhoun on a part time basis in August 2018 before moving on to a full-time position in 2019.
Throughout her time here she has successfully completed her Accounting Technicians Ireland qualification via South West College and is currently studying for her professional exams with Chartered Accountants Ireland. Her role varies from undertaking Payroll duties, bookkeeping, preparation of accounts and taxation work and assisting senior members of staff.
Zoë enjoys helping out on the family farm and spending time with family and friends outside of work.
Megan
Trainee Chartered Accountant

Megan joined Watson and Colhoun in December 2022 after the completion of her Accounting Technicians Ireland course and becoming a member in August 2022.
She is currently undertaking her professional examinations with Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Megan is primarily involved in accounts preparation and taxation work for a wide variety of sole traders and partnerships, as well as assisting senior members of staff.
Megan is a native of Dromore and a past pupil of Loreto Grammar School, Omagh. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Grace
Trainee Accounting Technician
Grace joined Watson and Colhoun in 2021 after the completion of her A-Level exams at Omagh Academy.
She is currently completing Accounting Technician Qualifications at South West College, Omagh. Within the practice she is primarily involved in Book-keeping, VAT and PAYE services.
Outside of work Grace is an active member of Derg Valley Young Farmers and loves spending time with her dogs and watching rugby with her family.
Kylie
Trainee Accounting Technician
Kylie joined Watson and Colhoun in 2021 after a career change and a huge interest in Financial Accounting.
Kylie is currently studying for membership of Accounting Technicians Ireland (ATI) with the support from all the Watson and Colhoun team.
Within the practice she is involved in Book-keeping, VAT, PAYE services and Accounts Preparation.
Outside of work Kylie loves spending time with her family and friends.
